Searching For Existing Business Rules

For a better understanding on the relationships between rule types, rule sets and rules, see Business Rule Engine Overview.

When you search for an existing business rule, at a minimum you must know the rule type.

Navigate to the business rules engine you want to configure.
A list of rule types appears.
For the rule type you want to search, click the corresponding Type Name link.
The Manage Rule Sets screen appears.
Click Search Rules.
The Search Rules screen appears.
Complete the following search criteria as needed:
- To filter the results by business name, type the name of the business rule in the Business Rule Name field.
- To filter by a result value, type a specific value in the Result Value field.
- To filter the report by a specific condition, select a condition from the Contains Condition drop-down list.
- To include a rule's description in the search results, select the Display Rule Description option.
Click Show Rules.
The search results appear.

The search results provide the option to edit the business rule.
To return to the Manage Rule Sets screen, click Done.
