Updating Business Rule Set Order

You can update the order that InvoicingSM follows when applying a business rule set. The order sequence of a rule set is very important; the hierarchy you establish creates the sequence the system follows when interpreting a rule set.

  1. Navigate to the business rules engine you want to configure.

    A list of rule types appears.

  2. For the rule type you want to modify, click the corresponding Type Name link.

    The Manage Rule Sets screen appears.

  3. In the Order field for the rule set for which you want a new order sequence, type the new order number.

    4786_note When you adjust the order sequence of only one rule set, it is not necessary to change other rule set order numbers at the same time; the system will automatically update the rule set order. Example: When you change a rule set's order position from 3 to 1, the system moves the rule set to the first position and all other rule sets move down one position.

  4. Click Update Rule Set Order.
  5. To return to the Manage Business Rule Engines screen, click Back to All Types.

4786_note When managing the BRE, you can click the View History link to review all activities performed on the BRE item.
