When situations occur in which your company's needs are not covered by an existing investor guideline or no investor guideline exists at all, you can create servicer-specific guidelines. Servicer guidelines can be configured on an invoice basis and a line item basis. Each guideline can cover such items as fees, costs, zip codes, state, department, judicial/non-judicial, and total amounts on both the individual line items per invoice and the invoice in total. Each guideline must contain an effective date and can also contain an expiration date or a deactivation date. The line item guidelines allow for configuring the unit amount.
Many allowable settings can be configured within one guideline. For example, XYZ guideline can contain a history of allowable settings that have expired along with an allowable setting presently being used. The same XYZ guideline could also include allowable settings set to take effect at a future date.
