Release Notes Version 21.0 Released 11/5/23

Following are the enhancements and features that are part of this release.

InvoicingSM Customer Identity and Access Management - New User Name Fields on Manage Users Page

Currently, InvoicingSM is in the process of implementing a Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) solution that supports multi-factor authentication (MFA). This solution will replace the current authentication process in InvoicingSM.

This enhancement replaces the User Name field on the Manage User window with the First, Middle, and Last fields. These new fields will be available for new user creation and for maintenance of existing users.

InvoicingSM Customer Identity and Access Management - Administrative User Functionality - Reactivate/Resend Activation Email

This enhancement provides an InvoicingSM administrator the ability to resend an activation email for account setup from the Manage User page, so the user can gain InvoicingSM access.

InvoicingSM Customer Identity and Access Management - Account Selection Page

These enhancements create an account selection page that displays a user's active InvoicingSM profiles (not expired or locked out). The page has the user's active InvoicingSM sign in IDs and associated company code. The user selects one sign in ID at a time and then signs in to InvoicingSM; access remains based on the selected InvoicingSM profile.

InvoicingSM Customer Identity and Access Management - Create Okta User from InvoicingSM

These enhancements do the following on the Manage User window:

Transfer existing user names to the First, Middle, and Last fields.
Move the Email field below the Login ID field.
Add tooltips to the Email and Login ID fields.
Disable the Login ID field for new users.

InvoicingSM Customer Identity and Access Management - Password Expires Date Column

This enhancement removes the Password Expires Date column from the Manage Users window and the Active Users Report for all NIS and NIV users.

InvoicingSM Customer Identity and Access Management - Sign In ID Add New User/Disable Email

This enhancement does the following when an InvoicingSM administrator selects Save Tab on the Manage Users page for a new InvoicingSM user:

Automatically creates an InvoicingSM sign in ID for the new user in the format FirstName.LastName@companycode.inv. If the user already has an existing ID, the system adds the next sequential number after the last name.
Creates a CIAM solution user.
Disables the Email field.
Disables the First Name, Middle Name, and Last Name fields.

InvoicingSM Customer Identity and Access Management - Create Selection on Manage Users Page for Validation for Existing Users

This enhancement enables an InvoicingSM administrator to search and select an InvoicingSM user's unique entity ID through an API call to synchronize the user information between InvoicingSM and the CIAM solution. The Create CIAM User option on the Manage Users page provides the ability to synchronize InvoicingSM and CIAM solution user information in situations when the user exists in InvoicingSM but is not yet active in the CIAM solution.

InvoicingSM Customer Identity and Access Management - Error and Failure Messages

This enhancement creates user-friendly exception messages to explain the following situations:

The CIAM solution experienced general exceptions.
An InvoicingSM administrator created an InvoicingSM user, but the CIAM solution did not create the user because the administrator is not a CIAM solution administrator.
An exception occurred in the CIAM solution, which caused user creation in InvoicingSM but not the CIAM solution.

InvoicingSM Customer Identity and Access Management - Set Administrator Permissions and Add User Permission

These enhancements do the following:

Systemically designate users with the Add User permission in InvoicingSM as a CIAM solution administrator.
Create user-friendly error messages if an exception occurs in the CIAM solution when adding or removing the Add User permission.
Systemically removes a user's CIAM solution administrator privilege when their Add User permission is removed in all InvoicingSM profiles.

InvoicingSM Customer Identity and Access Management - Profile Update From CIAM Solution to InvoicingSM on Manage Users Page

This enhancement provides the functionality to update an InvoicingSM user's name or email through the CIAM solution and then synchronize this information in InvoicingSM upon selection of the Manage option for the user on the Manage Users page.
