Open Invoice Files

Developers and programmers responsible for invoice header, invoice line item file, and image file creation should review the Import File Specification spreadsheet.

The import tool can open three types of files:

• The invoice header file contains all the main invoice data such as vendor code, invoice number, invoice date, and other data. One invoice header file can contain many invoices.
• The invoice line items file contains the matching line items for each invoice represented by an invoice header file. Each line item contains data such as item quantity, item amount, and other data. There can be multiple line items per invoice. These line items are tied to the invoices by the invoice number.
• The image file uploads images corresponding to a line item. Each image file contains the line item ID, image description, and the image location. A line item could have multiple images. The line item ID ties the images to a line item.
