Add/Edit a Business Rule Window Field Descriptions

Add a Condition

Select a condition that applies to the rule set or rule.

Comparison Type

Select one of the following comparisons:

Value - Used to identify the data elements of the condition selected.
Property - Allows two conditions with the same condition type, i.e., date to date, numeric to numeric, to be evaluated by using the logical operator (mathematical symbol).
Equation - Allows a condition to be evaluated against the same type of condition with a logical operator and allows a mathematical function such as add, subtract, multiply, or divide.

Description

This field is read-only. The system populates this field as you create conditions for the rule set or rule.

Effective Date

The effective date of the rule set or rule.

Expiration Date

The expiration date of the rule set or rule.

Expiration Note

Add a comment about the expiration of the rule set or rule.

Name

The name that describes the rule set or rule.

The name of the rule should be consistent with your naming conventions and can be tailored to what the rule will perform. The rule name can help quickly identify the rule.

Result

Your entry in this field depends on the rule type under which you are creating the rule. Type or select the result outcome you want the application to return when all conditions of this rule are met.

If you have set up a new outsourcer and then assigned the servicer you are proxying as to the outsourcer, the outsourcer will appear in this field.
